Google AdWords also define some boundaries on certain level for their advertisers. It help both advertisers and google users, advertisers provide their best to be in limit and users get only better results.
AdWords Ad Copy Limits
First we start with ad copy or PPC Ads those display in search results, they are strictly limited by Google AdWords. Basically Every ads contain at-least three things Title, Display URL and Two Description line apart from these they may contain phone no., Location, links and other extension results
But these all parts are limited by
- Title – 25 character
- Display URL – 35 character
- Description – 35 character each
These limits also include space, Main title as show in image is limited to 25 character means you have to display your service within 25 character. It help to avoid the usage of extra useless things with your main service.
Display url is limited to 35 character, use your website url + important character for provide better performance. Only few time we can use our actually URL of landing page, but generally they are so long and we have to display it in limited space so AdWords limit it to 35 character and may use differ to our actual landing page URL.
AdWords provide two description line with each ad copy and each have 35 character means total 70 character of description. Your have to use important things with ads have to use in these two lines for some extra attractive things you may use ad extensions.
Other Account Level Important AdWords Limits
- 10,000 campaigns per account ( Include active and paused)
- 20,000 ad groups per campaign
- 5,000 keywords for every ad group
- 300 display ads per ad group (including image ads)
- 4 million active or paused ads for every single account
- 3 million keywords with every single account
- 10,000 location included 500 proximity location targeted per campaign.
- 100,000 active ad extensions per account
These limits are very large for any country, city, state or medium level eCommerce, but if there is anything to increase these limits I don’t have idea. I hope this article will help you to learn all the limits associates with Google AdWords Account.
