What Is Bounce Rate?

In SEO there are so many metrics count by Google to determine user’s behaviour and bounce rate is one of them and it’s used to understand user’s behaviour after visiting website.  Every time when user land on a single webpage and quit the website from same webpage without visiting another link count as 100% bounce rate.

Every time when user navigate one page to another it’s improve user experience on your website and reduce the bounce rate value. When user visit more and more pages means they get relevant things they was looking for and found some more informative and quality pages which make their interest on your website and encourage them to browse more in your website and how to manage your site seo as a beginners with low bounce rate.

As much as lower bounce rate you have, you get more benefits. Like there are two website with name 1. www.example.com and 2. www.myexample.com . Website www.example.com have bounce rate of 90% and website www.myexample.com have bounce rate of 30%. Google provide more value to second site www.myexample.com in seo because it’s good bounce rate if they have same value.

How Google Calculate Bounce Rate ?

Bounce Rate=Bounces of webpage * 100/total entrance of webpage.  Just assume you have total 5000 entrance of webpage (means total 5000 users land on your webpage) and 4000 users bounce from that same page (Means users left from that same page without engaging or visiting any other page)

Here if I calculate the bounce rate of above data then it would be 4000*100/5000 = 80% Bounce rate. Means here your bounce rate will be 80% if out of 5000 users only 4000 users engage with your WebPages.

Opposite to this on ecommerce sites a users just land on landing page and just pick one product without browsing more and going to buying process they automatically redirect to another page.

Most of time visit your website and make it interesting and look for browsing more but not get any relevant links on WebPages, search bar and any other pages through which they can reach to your other relevant WebPages. So link your all pages to each other when discuss about information related to those pages.

Every time when user going to close the tab in which your website is open they will get a popup with some call to action button like “Wait there is offer for you, visit this page for offer, also check some relevant article ” and encourage them to click on those links and reduce bounce rate of your website.
