Big data is a massive amount of data which is hard to store, process and analyses, they are more than TB. Hadoop is a tool which deals with big data, it is based on Java and it is open-end software.

It processes data very quickly and it can store any amount of data. Earlier raw and unused data was deleted to make space and store new data, but sometimes that old data was also required. Then Hadoop came into the picture and it helps in storing, processing and analysis of data.

As we all know how data is increasing, it will help in making things better, big data has now exploded and everyone is in need of big data analytics. The scope of big data tool is also increasing.

  • Demand for professionals: it is said that data is useless without making use of it. If we have data but still we can’t use it then there is no use of data. There is a requirement of many big data professionals reason being it is a new concept in the industry and there are less professional available in the market so the demand is quite high for the big data analyst.
  • Salary: Demand for big data analyst is rising with explode in salary. The scarcity of professionals is making their salary high.  According to The Indian Analytics Industry Salary Trend Report by Great Lakes Institute of Management, the average salaries for analytics professionals in India was up by 21% in 2015 as compared to 2014. The report also states that 14% of all analytics professionals get a salary of more than Rs. 15 lakh per annum.
  • Top level management priority: Almost in every company, now management is focusing on big data analysis because data drives a better result and decision. According to the ‘Peer Research – Big Data Analytics’ survey, it was concluded that Big Data Analytics is one of the top priorities of the organizations participating in the survey as they believe that it improves the performances of their organizations.
  • Adopting big data: Big data tool make the analysis for massive data easy and as data is useful in any aspect so many companies have started to adopt the big data technology. According to Peer Research – Big Data Analytics’ survey reported that they already have a strategy set up for dealing with Big Data Analytics. And those who are yet to come up with a strategy are also in the process of planning for it.
  • Everywhere used technique: big data has become a technology which every company is using, it provides better results to the management. It can work in any industry not only IT. Almost every industry is using big data technology to make things better.
  • Decision making: Top level management takes the help of big data to analyze the data and make better result out of it. If the decisions are based on the data then there is a probability of a successful decision, but if the decision is not based on data then it will be a hit and trial method. If we can analyze data and do things better with minimal risk then we should way this way.
  • Surpassed market forecast: Big data has surpassed it all forecast of last 3 years and leading the way. From last few years, big data has gained its foothold in the market and everywhere big data is used. According to IDC, the Big Data Analytics market will reach $125 billion worldwide in 2015. According to the survey ‘The Future of Big Data Analytics – Global Market and Technologies Forecast – 2015-2020’, Big Data Analytics Global Market will grow by 14.4% CAGR over this period.
  • Massive job opportunities: time by time scope for big data analysis is rising and opportunities in different areas of big data have been increased. In the years 2017 “Data scientist” job profile awarded as the best job. India currently has the highest concentration of analytics globally. In spite of this, the scarcity of data analytics talent is particularly acute and demand for talent is expected to be on the higher side as more global organizations are outsourcing their work.
